When my first child was born, my wife and I made the decision to keep his life and face off the Internet until he was of an age to make an informed decision to be present online. Several years, another kid, and many challenges later, we have held fast to that original decision without regret. With ever increasing digital footprints and public profiles, it is very difficult to allow children to grow up in private. In this talk, I will share our successes and struggles with kids and security from social media to school to peers.
